My office is centrally located just off the West Dodge Expressway at 132nd. It is part of West Dodge Office Park, and is highly accessible to people with any kind of physical challenge. People with visual challenges should contact me ahead of time, so arrangements can be made. I am providing a mix of in person and telehealth sessions, according to your needs.

I work with adolescents and adults from age 16 for a variety of mental and emotional problems or situations. I welcome all regardless of race, ethnicity, and sexual or religious preference. There are some problems that may be beyond the scope of my practice. If you are in any doubt, please call for your free 20-minute telephone consultation. If I cannot help you, I’ll make every effort to get you to someone who can.
I have been in practice for 25 years. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with my Master of Social Work degree in 1996. I have always enjoyed working with a wide variety of people and their challenges, with the main purpose of assisting them to find their way to a happier life. I have great empathy for the stressful situations people experience. My clients tell me they like working with me because I don’t judge, and they feel I genuinely listen. I work closely with my clients in a collaborative manner, and each one receives an individualized approach to their issues. In 2011 I completed a Master Certificate in Gerontology. I am ready to work with you on issues related to aging.
My work is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. That means that I work with decreasing negative thought patterns and increasing healthy thoughts and behaviors that will support recovery and enhance the quality of your life. This includes improving your ability to cope emotionally with stressful events or with depressed and anxious feelings. We meet in casual and supportive conversation. I strive to create a comfortable, safe and confidential place for you to share your story.
I also enjoy working with couples to improve their relationship and trust in each other. Couples often come to therapy after struggling on their own and gradually seeing a deterioration in their ability to connect. I have trained in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, which provides the framework for helping couples resolve their conflicts in a way which builds trust and connectedness.
I have two additional methods to help my clients. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, EMDR, is useful for people who are still bothered by events in the past. I also use it for anxiety and phobias. I use hypnotherapy to assist with stress, chronic pain and illness, phobias and to improve performance at work, school or sports.
